Every woman has had the experience of buying into a trend only to look back in pictures and realize that you looked ridiculous. Since it is the end of a decade, we need to look at the trends that have gone wrong over the past ten years. The first and probably most hideous is the oversized bag.
One has to wonder just what people are keeping their gigantic bags. I can only remember my mom carrying a bag like that to the beach. While top designers definitely contributed to the trend, there is really no reason to cart your entire house around in your bag. However, like any rule there are expectations. If you are fabulous college student and are carrying your books around in an oversized bag, way to go.
The second has to be crocs. There is only person that I can think of that has permission to wear crocs and he is a famous Italian chef. If you are not him you should not consider wearing crocs. Think about this little tip of fashion: crocs were originally designed for nurses because they are easy to clean, like if someone pukes on you! Is that really what you want your shoes to be good for? The only place that you can wear crocs is to garden because they are easy to clean.
The finally fashion no-no is Uggs. Uggs are only a good choice of footwear if they are being worn in the snow. However, people seem to think that it is appropriate to wear them with shorts to the beach! I understand that they shoes are comfortable and easy to out on, but so are sandles, invest in a pair.
